Marine services and pricing
Boats are priced by the foot. The prices below are for gelcoat in good shape — chalky, neglected hulls take longer and cost more, and we tell you which one you have before we start. Examples shown at 24 and 30 feet.

Every price above includes the wash and the interior — we don't quote the hull and then bill you again for the deck. Send a few photos of the hull and waterline and we'll put a real number on it, usually within the hour.
What moves the price
Length sets the starting number. Condition moves it. Here is how we grade a hull, in plain terms.
Light
Polished in the last season or two. Water still beads, maybe a faint waterline. This is the price on the card above.
Moderate
Dull and chalky, nothing beads anymore, staining has set in at the waterline. Same work, slower passes — figure about a third more.
Heavy
Chalk comes off on your hand and the gelcoat has gone flat and yellow. That's two-step or wet-sanding, and we come look at the boat in person before we give you a number.
Dark hulls — navy, black, red — take extra refinement passes and run about 15% more. Towers, flybridges, and sailboats we quote after a look.
Where we work
On the trailer, in the yard, or at the slip
We come to the boat with our own power and water, so we can work wherever it's sitting. Most owners book the polish and coat right after haul-out or a week before launch, when the hull is dry and accessible.

Frequently asked questions
When should I book a hull polish?
Spring, before launch, is ideal — the hull is dry and we can get to the waterline. Fall after haul-out works too, and it keeps staining from sitting on the gelcoat all winter.
Can you work on the boat in the water?
Yes for wash-downs, interiors, and topside work at the slip. Hull polishing and coating need the boat out of the water so we can reach the gelcoat below the waterline.
How exact is the price you quote me?
The per-foot prices on this page are real numbers for gelcoat in good shape. Send photos of the hull and waterline and we'll give you a firm price against them, usually within the hour. If the boat turns out to be in worse shape than the photos showed, we tell you before we start work, not after.
How long does a marine ceramic coating last?
The system we use is rated for 18 to 24 months. That's the product. In our experience, with the salt and sun out here, plan on a full season of easy rinsing and real UV protection — longer on a boat that gets regular wash-downs. We'd rather tell you that up front than quote you a number the island won't hold.
