• Urable — our booking and scheduling system. When you book through the booking window, the information you enter there (including any payment details) is collected and processed by Urable under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card number.
• Formspree — delivers our website form submissions (name, contact details, and your message) to our email inbox.
• Google Maps — the embedded service-area map is served by Google, which may set cookies and collect usage data under Google's Privacy Policy.

If you text photos to us, standard messaging rates from your carrier apply, and we use the photos and your number only to prepare your quote and communicate with you about it.

How we use artificial intelligence

We use AI tools in parts of our business, and we want to be plain about where.

• Drafting and admin. We use AI assistants to help draft replies, quotes, and written material, and to help build and maintain this Website.
• Never for decisions about you. We do not use AI to make automated decisions that affect you — pricing, scheduling, and whether we take a job are decided by a person.
• No AI chatbot here. This Website has no AI chat feature. When you contact us, you reach a person.
• Third-party tools. Some of the services we use may apply AI within their own products, under their own privacy policies.

How long we keep your information

• Customer and service records — job history, invoices, vehicle details, and the photos we take of each job: stored permanently, as the ongoing record of the vehicles we have worked on.
• Photos you send us and communications — emails, text messages, and form submissions: stored permanently alongside the job they relate to.
• Enquiries that never become a job — quote requests, callback requests, and waitlist sign-ups: kept up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Website analytics: retained on Google's and Meta's own schedules, typically up to 14 months.

We never store payment card numbers. Card details are entered directly into our booking system's payment processor and are never seen, handled, or stored by us. We do not store bank account details or government identification numbers.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time — see below. Where the law requires us to keep a record, such as a tax record or something relevant to an insurance claim or legal dispute, we keep it for as long as required and delete it once that period ends.

How we protect your information

This Website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so what you type into a form here is encrypted while it travels to us. Payment card details never reach us at all — they are entered directly into our booking system's payment processor.

The customer records we hold live in our booking system and our business email. Access is limited to the people at ACK Detailing who need it to do their job, and to the service providers listed above. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices, and how to have your data removed

You can ask us to:

• See what personal information we hold about you;
• Correct anything that is wrong;
• Delete your information, subject to the legal exceptions above;
• Stop marketing to you, including removing your photos from our marketing;

Tell us what you would like us to do, and give us enough detail to find your records. We will respond as promptly as we reasonably can. There is no charge, and asking will never affect the service you get from us.

Some of your information sits with the service providers listed above. When you ask us to delete your data we will remove it from our own records and ask those providers to do the same, though their own retention rules may also apply.
